How to Choose the Right Color for Your Precast Fence

How to Choose the Right Color for Your Precast Fence

At American Precast, we can add pigment right to the concrete for beautiful and long-lasting color. Before you can install a colorful and interesting fence, you first will need to pick a color.

Since we want your new fence to match your home or business, here is a guide on choosing the right color for your precast fence based on the style of your home.

Dark and Moody

This is for the homes that are brown, black, or grey. Those darker shades are really dramatic. You can and should go just as dramatic as the home color.

If you have a garden with a lot of greenery, you can go with a brown, black, or grey fence. In this case, you need the greenery or garden to balance out the dark.

If you don’t have a robust and bright garden to balance the dark colors, it can look a tad depressing. Unless you are going for this look, you don’t want your house to look like the wicked witch lives there.

Another excellent option for dramatic colors that balances out the dark and moody style of the house is a bold color. Add a pop of color by choosing red, gold, blue or yellow hues. You want a saturated color. Bring the drama!

Bright and Strong

By bright and strong, we mean the home colors that grab people’s eyes. We are talking about the home colors that grab the spotlight with colors of the rainbow. This is one of the most complex home color styles to match.

Your house truly is one-of-a-kind. It can be easy to think you need an equally strong fence color to match. This can be a mistake.

You need your fencing to balance out the colors. Keep it simple. Go with a brown or classic white color. You want to pick a neutral, understated color to allow your home to stay center-stage.

Modern Cool Tones

Modern grey or blues are now gaining popularity. This home style is understated and cool. Warm hues like brown or reds would throw off the look.

In this case, the best option is a classic white.

Textured

The homes that have texture, whether that’s brick, stone, or stucco, are very classy and unique. You want a fence that complements the classy, unique look.

A common choice here is black. This is a great option, and it really pairs well with a lush garden. However, we are finding this color fencing to be fairly popular. Maybe you want something newer and more exciting.

If your house is stucco or stone, you can really key into the earthy tones. Go for a bronze color for a fresh take on earth hues.

If you have a brick house, break the mold and go with a strong white fence.

Whatever color you choose, be sure to use precast concrete. The durability of concrete means your fencing will last a long time. After all, you don’t want to go through the trouble of creating your perfect fencing, only to have it look terrible in a few short years.
